This plum tree which bordered two small London gardens had become massively overgrown for its environment. Our professional tree surgeons were able to reduce the tree by approximately 40% and retain it as a feature of the gardens. The owners were amazed at how much light was now able to get into the garden and had been unaware of how much light the tree was restricting. We have organised a schedule of works to manage the tree in the future and to prevent the tree becoming overgrown again.
About Crown Reduction
When our London tree surgeons perform a tree crown reduction they ensures that all the branches are cut back to a suitable length and back to a suitable growth point. The entire crown is thereby reduced in size and volume but maintains a pleasing shape in line with the natural profile for the species.
