the job...

The tree surgeons at Take a Bough Tree Care were asked to pollard this large willow in Wimbledon to reduce its overall size and to contain the crown. This will allow a new crown to develop at a lower level to create a better screen and limit the amount of shade cast as well as containing the amount of debris dropped by the tree.

If you need a tree pollarding don’t hesitate to contact us today, we’ll be very happy to assist you further.

About Tree Pollarding

Pollarding is a pruning system where the upper branches of a tree are removed, promoting a dense head of foliage and branches. It has been common in Europe since medieval times and is practised today in urban areas worldwide including in London, primarily to maintain trees at a predetermined height.

"We have two precious trees in our small London garden. Toby clearly knew all about them and how best to prune and shape them. He did a beautiful job."
